Unit 4 - Fast English
We're almost done with the song training!
You have come a long way since the beginning of this course when we identified which single English sounds you struggled with most. By now, those sounds should be easy for you to hear and make. Let that be a lesson to you that with a little patience, hard work and attention to detail, you can learn any sound skill.
As you know, though, it's not enough to be able to make the individual English sounds, you have to be able to say them in real combination. Moreover, the faster these combinations are, the harder it is to speak.
But once again, all it takes is a little time and practice.
In this final song unit, we are going to learn two songs with much faster lyrics than the previous ones. But don't be afraid! You can learn fast lyrics the exact same way that you learn slow lyrics - learn each syllable, practice them slowly, then build speed.
I promise that you will be very impressed with yourself when you're done. That's why I chose the last song, "Lose Yourself to Dance." You will be so happy with your progress that you will want to dance at the end.
By the way, dancing is fully encouraged in The Mimic Method ;)
